The Textile Association (India) provides professional growth to the technologists on the Indian textile scene. It caters to the needs of all fibers, products and all sectors of the Indian industry. TAI organizes Seminars, Conferences, Workshops, Refresher Courses and Exhibitions of textiles and allied machines for the benefits of the members serving the textile industry. These activities are held throughout the country with the help of various 26 TAI units affiliated to the association which are autonomous in the activities.
The Textile Association (India) organizes annually All India textile Conferences at different locations which are hosted by the respective units. The theme and the topics are always relevant to the current textile scenario and emerging trends. The Association was first in the country to provide platform for the annual meet and started All India Textile Conference in year 1944 and the first three conferences 1944, 1945, 1946 were held in Bombay. TAI has so far organized 70 such All India Conferences with very grand success. Some of Conferences are International Conference and also with Textile Machinery Exhibition.
During such Conferences TAI honouring the eminent industrialist and brought into its Umbrella by conferring honorary membership since 1945. Also confreres and awards FTA, Service Gold Medals, Service Memento, Industry Excellence etc.
Most of conferences have been inaugurated by the most eminent and dynamic personalities of India like Prime Ministers, Chief Ministers of the States, Governors, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India and Vice Cancellers etc.
